The CRUISING FLEET club at SPYC has an active cruising fleet of both sail and power boats. The group holds monthly luncheons with guest speakers and monthly boating trips to neighboring clubs or marinas. The annual Commodore’s cruise, a trip lasting10 to 14 days, is always a big hit with our members.

 The club’s powerboat competition program, CRUISER NAVIGATION, was started in 1966. As a member of the North American Cruiser Association, SPYC runs 12 events annually. We have hosted the national championship. Various club members have won national awards at both the local and national levels.

 As one of the original 13 founders of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, our members enjoy reciprocal privileges at all participating clubs. This includes one night free dockage and other reduced fees. Members driving to FCYC clubs also enjoy reciprocal privileges and have their expenses billed to our club.
